Who We Are
Mission: To help individuals with dyslexia, learning differences, and other reading challenges to develop lifelong language skills through our multisensory program.
SLD Read, a non-profit community resource serving West Michigan, has supported educational institutions throughout 18 counties and over 12,000 individuals who struggle with dyslexia and other reading challenges. Our vision is a community working together for literacy that empowers all individuals to achieve their full potential.
What We Do
To reach our vision, SLD Read’s mission is reached threefold: helping individuals with dyslexia, learning differences, and other reading challenges to develop lifelong language skills through our multisensory program; assisting educators to identify learning challenges and provide training and techniques to enhance their reading curriculum; increasing community awareness and understanding of literacy issues.
