Hope for Single Moms

Mission: To empower single mothers in the Grand Rapids area by providing mentorship, financial support, and educational resources that help them achieve independence, stability, and success for themselves and their children.

Hope for Single Moms helps the children in single mom families thrive! We do that by helping their moms get a career education that allows them to provide well for their families and the life skills needed to maintain economic independence. HSM uses a teach-a-woman-to-fish approach and removes the barriers to a career education. The program is holistic–academic, emotional, financial and spiritual support, if desired, and family time and celebrations.

Hope for Single Moms does a career consultation with any single moms who sets up an appointment. For those who qualify for our program, they continue the process of applying. Our programs has for pillars–education, community, mentoring and life assistance.
