Who We Are

Mission: To be a living monument of artifacts, ideas and stories told through exhibitions, events and educational programming designed to inspire, motivate and celebrate our human bond.

Founded in 1854, the GRPM is the oldest cultural institutions in the state of Michigan with more than a quarter of a million historical artifacts and specimens in its permanent Collections donated by the residents of West Michigan. These Collections are used in educational programming, exhibitions, and for research.

What We Do

The GRPM brings traveling exhibits throughout the year combined with in-house exhibitions to satisfy a diverse range of interests and ages. GRPM is deeply committed to creating an environment that is inclusive of all learning styles, ages and backgrounds, physical and cognitive needs.
