Host Neighbor/Ambassador Leadership Team

● Identify other community leaders and assist them in reaching their neighbors,
in order to create and sustain positive change within their communities
● Establish positive relationships with all neighbors on their block
● Attend scheduled Host Neighbor meetings
● Participate in ongoing trainings to aid in program growth, and selfdevelopment
● Contact neighbors by phone, mail or email, and send all informational
materials in a timely manner
● Assist the Public Safety Outreach Coordinator in conducting surveys/outreach
events in order to better understand the needs and wants of the residents
living in Seeds of Promises target areas
● Host meetings for your block to build relationships and understand resident
concerns
● Help community residents set goals & objectives for their block
● Provide updated information on safety programing and assist in the planning
and/or hosting of Public Safety Program community events
● Encourage neighbors to beautify their yards, and to adhere to Code
Compliance regulations through the City of Grand Rapids to avoid potential
citations
● Keep residents informed of changes occurring within their community
