Description

Our direct volunteers go out and see patients in West Michigan (wherever is local to the volunteer), and they provide companionship for our hospice patients. This can be in the form of listening or playing music for them, singing with them, doing crafts, reading to them, sharing conversation, bringing your pet in, or doing anything you have an interest in and want to share with them! The Volunteer Coordinator would go with you on your first visit, or however long it takes for you to be comfortable, and after that you can see your patients whenever you have free time. These companionship visits helps us provide a better quality of life for our patients, and getting to connect with them during such a sensitive time is so rewarding and special.
